The second edition of the LLC Masters, which just completed in Doha, Qatar, registered a global digital footprint of 1.48 billion, according to a statement released today by Legends League Cricket (LLC). In comparison to the previous season in Oman, where the competition had a footprint of 703 million, the league, which was bringing cricket back to Qatar after three decades, experienced an overall increase of 50% in fan reach.

More than 75% of the footprint is from South Asia, particularly India, which has the biggest cricket fan following in the world, further fueling the cricket craze. The average TV rating (TVR) for the matches has, according to BARC data, had at least 15% greater ratings and viewership than any other International T20 tournament that is viewed in India during the year (other than the IPL). To top it off, just 8 matches garnered a total of around 100 million spectators in India across TV and digital platforms.

The LLC Masters had a digital audience of 1.48 billion people worldwide and was trending in several countries where cricket is popular. This includes a reach of around 985 million across several social media channels. More than 528 million social media engagements took place throughout the course of the event thanks to watching the cricketing greats enjoy themselves and being together in Qatar.
