Shubman Gill moves up to fourth place in the ODI rankings, which is the highest he has ever been.
In the latest ICC ODI Player Rankings, which came out on Wednesday, India opener Shubman Gill moved up one spot to a career-high fourth place among batters.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are also in the top 10, along with Gill.
Rohit stayed in eighth place, while Kohli moved up one spot to seventh. Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, is at the top of the list.
Pacer Mohammed Siraj is still the only Indian bowler in the top 10; he stayed at number three, behind quick bowlers Josh Hazlewood of Australia and Trent Boult of New Zealand.
Aiden Markram of South Africa moved up 13 spots to reach 41st place in the batting chart and 16 spots to reach 32nd place in the all-rounders’ list. This was another career-best in both categories as South Africa beat the Dutch 2-0 in Johannesburg in the first two games of a three-game series.
They moved closer to getting an automatic spot in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will be held in India later this year.
New Zealand’s Henry Nicholls moved up two spots to 69 in the batting rankings, and his teammate Will Young jumped 60 spots to a personal best of 143rd after their 2-0 win over Sri Lanka.
Matt Henry stood out for the Black Caps by moving up five spots in the bowling rankings to take the fifth spot. South Africa’s Sisanda Magala made a name for himself by moving up 35 spots to a career-high number 165 after taking eight wickets in two matches, including his first five-wicket haul against the Netherlands.
Suryakumar is still at the top of the T20I rankings.
Suryakumar Yadav stayed at the top of the T20I Player Rankings for batters, and Hardik Pandya stayed at the second spot for all-rounders.
Litton Das of Bangladesh moved up one spot to 21st place, which is his best career ranking so far. He shared the spot with Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand, who moved up five spots from 26th place. This is also Mitchell’s best ranking ever. Before this, he was ranked 25th.
