Rinku Singh hit five sixes in a row in the IPL, and Yash Dayal’s mother was so upset that she stopped eating.
Not only was Yash Dayal shocked, but so was the rest of his family. Radha Dayal, Yash’s mother, was said to be unable to comfort herself and stop eating.
There are always two sides to a story, and the two sides of Rinku Singh and Yash Dayal’s are very different. After hitting five straight sixes when the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) needed 28 runs off of five balls against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2023, he became a well-known name, and stories about how hard he had to work to get where he is now have come to light. On the other hand, Dayal, who got hit by Rinku’s incredible blows, saw the world fall apart right in front of his eyes.
The left-arm pacer for GT, who made a big difference for the reigning champions last year, looked upset after being hit for five straight sixes in Ahmedabad, which has the world’s biggest cricket stadium. Not only was Yash shocked, but so was the rest of his family. Radha Dayal, Yash’s mother, was said to be unable to comfort herself and stop eating.
But dads usually have to be strong, and Chandrapal is the same way. Back in the day, he played Vizzy Trophy for North Zone Universities.
“These are the things that make up sports. Even though mistakes are a part of life, it’s important to get back up and try again,” Chandrapal told PTI.
But he will always be grateful to Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Titans, and his friends who didn’t leave him alone and tried to cheer him up.
Back at the hotel, every team member, including Hardik Pandya, who was sick during the match against KKR and let Rashid Khan lead, talked to him.
“They made him sit in the middle and tried to make him feel better. Later, there was dancing and music, and they spent some fun time with him, according to his father.
Sidhu Moosewala, who has passed away, was Dayal’s favorite singer.
Dayal’s father called his son late at night to talk with him.
“He told me that the ball was slipping out of his hands and that he wasn’t getting a good hold on it because he was missing his yorkers. Chandrapal said, “He even tried a slower one from the back of his hand, which also broke.”
Chandrapal thinks that the fact that Rinku was used to his style of bowling could have hurt him, but in the end, it just wasn’t his day.
“He (Rinku) just had to smash every ball, and they all know each other well. It might have helped Rinku, but it just wasn’t his day. Chetan Sharma and many other great bowlers have been through this,” he said.
The Gujarat Titans picked Yash, a left-handed swing bowler from Uttar Pradesh, after he took 14 wickets in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021.
He also recently bowled in the India nets against WI, and he was one of the top 10 wicket-takers in the Vijay Hazare Trophy that season.
Yash is also a great student. He got an honors degree in psychology from SHUATS University in Allahabad with over 80%.
“As a cricket player, he’s a gift from God. He never needed me to tell him what to do. “All I did was make his mind stronger,” he said.
Coach Amit Pal, who has known Yash since he was a child, said that Yash would make a great comeback.
“That day was not his. He bowls a great yorker, but last night he couldn’t get one. Maybe the pressure was too much for him. “Perhaps it was because Rinku was on the other end, who has known him well since junior camp,” the coach thought.
