  • On November 28, 2020, Hamiza Mukhtar, a woman, filed many complaints against Babar Azam. These allegations involved sexual abuse, coercion, and fake marriage vows. In 2017, she lodged a police complaint against Babar at the Nasirabad station. Hamiza Mukhtar stated that they were schoolmates who used to live in the same areas and that Babar sexually and physically abused her for ten years. She filed the petition at a session court in Lahore. The court ordered that a FIR be filed against Babar by the Federal Agency Cyber Crime Cell. On January 15, 2021, Hamiza Mukhtar dismissed her complaint and informed the court that the allegations leveled against Babar were baseless.

  • Babar Azam is a Pakistani top-order batsman who captains Pakistan in all formats of international cricket. Many cricket experts and enthusiasts see him as one of Pakistan’s best batsmen, and with good reason.

 

  • Babar Azam began his career in Lahore, where he played age-group cricket under the watchful eye of his coach, Mansoor Hameed, who trained him at YuSlim Cricket Club. Mansoor Hameed recalls Babar’s stay at the club during his formative years in an interview. He stated-:

“When Babar first came to our club, he was a very shy kid.” When he first joined the club, he battled for two months since he was still adjusting. But once he was situated, it was tough to get him out. He used this strategy from the beginning and is now following the same hard effort and job schedule.”

 

  • Babar Azam used to exercise with his two cousins, a buddy, and others at 10 a.m. at the Lahore location of Model Town Park, which took them an hour to go to. In the park, Babar used to erect practice nets and work out diligently.
