RR vs. DC: Jos Buttler, a key batsman for the Rajasthan Royals, had to get many stitches in his left little finger. This happened Wednesday during a match against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023). He might not be able to play against the Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 8 as a result.
The Royals were beaten by five runs. Ravichandran Ashwin was made the opener while Buttler was getting stitches for a small finger injury he got when he took a catch to get rid of Shahrukh Khan, who was batting for PBKS.
In the last over, Buttler went deep and took a diving catch off of Jason Holder’s ball. He looked like he was in pain as he left the pitch with a few more balls to go.

“Jos wasn’t fit. He was getting stitches for his finger after the catch,” RR captain Sanju Samson said at the post-game presentation session.
Buttler came to pick up his check at the end of the match while wearing a distinctive white band on his little finger. He won a prize from a backer for making the best catch.
The Royals’ medical staff may decide to let him rest for a game or two, especially if the next game is in less than 72 hours. His finger will hurt, and catching may be hard.
RR vs DC – Rajasthan Royals eager for comeback
After a close loss to the Punjab Kings, the Rajasthan Royals will be eager to get back on track against the Delhi Capitals. In IPL 2023 Match 8, which took place at Guwahati’s Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Punjab Kings beat Rajasthan Royals. This was their second straight win, and it moved them up to second place in the standings.
After Prabhsimran Singh got things off to a fast start (60 off 34 balls), PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan took the lead with a perfectly timed 86* off 56 balls to help the team reach a reasonable 197/4. After Hetmyer (36 off 18) and Dhruv Jurel (32* off 15) led RR’s comeback, Nathan Ellis bowled an effective spell of 4/30 while Curran kept his cool and saved 16 off the final over to help PBKS win by five runs in a tense finish.
